I’ve posted some serious videos about the Second Amendment (here, here, and here), and I even got to appear on NRA News to talk about the importance of firearms ownership.
But this video should win the marketing prize.
By the way, if you’re looking for something more substantive, this powerpoint presentation makes a very strong case for the right to keep and bear arms.

I have had people ask me why I carry a pistol, am I afraid. No I am confident in my ability to stop a criminal act against myself or those around me. The only thing I truly fear beside God is my government.

@ben do you think we should outlaw automobiles? 30k+ deaths per year is awfully high.
I’m not a gun “nut” but I do fear my government enough that I want to protect their last standing fear of us, an armed populous.
From a society perspective, I don’t think guns and explosives are that different. From an end-user perspective, very different. Lots more recreational uses for guns.
The reason I asked was that I was arguing for the legalization of drugs recently and found that position in slight contrast with my position on guns. However, the more I thought about it, I realized they were similar positions. I think they should both be legal and have appropriate regulations around them. Just like guns don’t kill people, drugs don’t either without a willing participant.
Heroin should have stricter regulations than alcohol and pot. Just like AK-47’s should possibly be harder to get than hunting shotguns. (just my opinion there, and not trying to start a gun regulation discussion)
@ben, sure why not, given you can make some thing about as effective with common household items. generally referred to as a pipe bomb.
But we are on the subject of guns here, not explosives, two very different things.
Do you think we should legalize hand grenades? They don’t kill people either.
Serious question.
