Last year, I shared this heartwarming holiday adoption video.
Keeping with that tradition, here’s a Christmas greeting to warm your heart…and offend the delicate sensibilities of statists.
The extra flash at the end is a nice touch. Sort of reminds me of this joke about the difference between conservatives, liberals, and Texans.

Excellent blog, thank you.
I think that it is worth noting that outlets such as the New York Times are using the New town tragedy to advance an anti-firearm agenda that has no relevance to preventing a recurrence of that event. Today, for example, the Times has an editorial calling for the growth of BATF, increased sweeps of gun stores and other bureaucratic roadblocks designed to reduce availability and increase cost. Sad but an ongoing problem with this “Newspaper of Record”.
I think that laws should have certain characteristics:
– there should be a specific, demonstrable and definable problem that is susceptible to legal solution
– proposed laws should address those specific issues
– their results should be objectively measurable
– they should be allowed to lapse if they do not perform as promised
Also, no law should be enacted because it “feels good” or “might help”.
Following these guidelines would save us all a lot of grief.
Keep up the good work.
