This is beautiful. It’s so refreshing to have a handful of Republicans who actually understand that their job is promoting freedom.

The whole world waits anxiously for news of the U.S. where it says and affirms that the American States are breaking against the depletion of financial resources transferred by the Federal Government and will not be renewed. And Because of guilt and there is news of such a race toward the purchase of government bonds of long-term both inside and outside the U.S. where titles are making huge fortunes merchants. The exit to this crisis is not just saying that from now on this or that title is worthless, which is false, that there never was such a title or that have already been rescued those who were valid and that the rest is nothing. We all know that any title presuppose the existence of a counterpart. So why is not to assert the contrary, its real value? I insist on the departure of legal purchase of securities and the consequent issuance of new long-term backed by the value of purchased. I know many will laugh. But it also finds grace of who is right.
The most insulting thing about the light bulbs, and nonsense like it, is that it’s supposed to save money.
If that is true, then why would they need a law to make a bunch of “money-grubbing” capitalists who supposedly ONLY care about money, use the goddamned things, (not to mention everyone else)?
If they are indeed better – that’s the only argument you would need, not this environmental pap.
Cellphones are great. Didn’t need a law to make me buy one of those, or stop using landlines all the time.
I’m surprised they didn’t try though – far be it from the government to makes laws and spend money on shit that is happening anyway … oh wait … you guys have some national wireless internet boondoggle going on, like our government is promising us national wired broadband. Nevermind.
This is exactly like the racism thing, (and I hate that Rand Paul backed down one inch on that).
If you have enough of the population against racial segregation to pass a law against private businesses putting a “No niggers” sign in the window, you don’t NEED the goddamned law.
It will take time for everyone to get with the programme, but using laws instead of market pressure, just costs more and often makes it take longer. The nanny-staters apparently can’t even contain their Stalinist tendencies for the lifespan of an incandescent light bulb.

He’s correct, of course, but does anybody think his speaking up like this is going to make even a small dent in the progressive mindset? They are tyrants by nature, and will not stop trying to force us to live by their preferences unless they are, quite literally, thrown out of government so hard that they bruise their buttocks on the pavement.
There is no reasoning with progressives. Only force works.

How does it save water when I have to flush four times to get solid waste down, takes longer to shower, and longer to fill the sink to do dishes. God Bless Senator Paul.
