In a sense, liberals and conservatives want big government. Liberals due to the fact that they want to use the power of government to force redistribution of wealth. Conservatives in a sense want big government so they can impose their view on marriage upon the rest of us. Quite honestly, I really don’t care if 2 men or 2 women want to marry. Why? Because it is none of my business or that of the government.
