I recently posted a bunch of cartoons about the Supreme Court’s shameful Obamacare decision (which was terrible, but probably not as awful as the Kelo decision).
Most of those cartoons, as well as the ones I posted here, focused on how Chief Justice Roberts put politics above the Constitution, but let’s return today to the broader issue of why Obamacare is bad news.
Let’s start with this cartoon, which deals with the pointless and irrelevant debate about whether the Obamacare enforcement mechanism is a tax or a penalty.
What we do know (and what we knew back when Obamacare was being debated) is that the IRS will be in charge of enforcement, which is what makes this next cartoon funny – albeit in a painful way.
Returning to the debate about taxes or penalties, this cartoon will be very painful for GOP partisans.
Very appropriate, since this cartoon from back in 2011 shows that there is no meaningful difference between the two plans.
And this also explains why I’m still predicting an Obama victory in November, even though his economic record is awful.

[…] Just like the ones we all cried when the IRS complained about the possibility of being covered by Obamacare, even as the bureaucrats doubtlessly were looking forward to the new power the IRS got as a result of the law (and as humorously illustrated by cartoons from Gary Varvel, Glenn McCoy, and Henry Payne). […] After the Supreme Court’s politically motivated decision to approve Obamacare, I shared a bunch of depressing (but funny) cartoons, including a few focusing on added power for the IRS. […]

I very much hope you’re wrong about Obama winning. We can’t take another four years of that. Europe is going to implode at some point here in the next few years causing global recession/depression, maybe even triggering WWIII and who we have in the White House will pretty much decide what kind of country we will be when the dust clears. Do we really want the dictator in chief there?
More news about the British National Heath Service killing patients to save money. How long before Obamacare goes down the same route?

Claims almost 1 in 3 UK hospital deaths are deliberately caused by their doctors.
On the Huckabee Show Allen West and Huckabee talked about the food stamp commercials that the government is running on the radio encouraging people to get food stamps. Does Obama want to get all of us dependent on the governement in order to buy our votes?
Romney needs to explain the MN healthcare plan. States are permitted to do this. But the government being allowed to force people to buy shomething or be penalized is just wrong. There is now no end to the taxing that they can and will do. This is one can of worms that Obama will pay for forever. Romney needs to be strong and forge ahead and blast Obama on every occasion on the failures and the economy.
“And this also explains why I’m still predicting an Obama victory in November, even though his economic record is awful.”
So Obama can stumble all over the place (ObamaCare, Depression, PutinGate, IranGate, ClimateGate, etc) and still win, but Romney has to “pitch a perfect game” to win?
That says more about the retardation level of the US than it says about Romney.
America evidently needs to learn its lessons the hard way…the VERY HARD WAY.
(Hey, America! Tough S*$t!!
