Other than the famous “riding in the wagon” set, the most-viewed cartoon on this blog is this one about Obama and self-imposed headwinds.
Now we have our first cartoon of the Christmas season!
This isn’t the theme of government as Santa Claus. It is government as Santa Claus.
And where does this approach lead? Well, this Eric Allie cartoon provides a road map.

I’d be curious to know if the Cato Institute would trade away welfare programs in exchange for a substantial minimum wage for those willing to work?

haha great read! Ive got a little political humor myself on my blog, check it out!
I think it’s great! One ought consider the reality of historical facts, the creation, circulation, retraction, destruction, and recirculation of global currency (mostly electrionic) and it isnt capitalism! Yes, history proves more on the sides of a triangle of mercantilism/capitalism/socialism with access of currency because of name title..
dobs – Cato would not make that trade because government has no legitimate role in setting wage rates or minimum wages. It is a left-over concept from FDR, and an absurd waste of the Labor Departement’s already bloated budget trying to enforce minimum wage and overtime laws. People are perfectly capable of determining how much they need to live on and how much they are willing to work for. Further, government does have a legitimate role in welfare programs, because we need safety nets in a civilized society – but no one with a straight face can say what we have or Europe has is a safety net any longer.
