In recent years, taxpayers have been victimized by huge expansions in the burden of government spending. Among the highlights (lowlights would be a much better word):
- A corrupt bailout of politically connected Wall Street insiders.
- A bloated healthcare bill adding hundreds of billions of new taxes and hundreds of billions of new spending.
- A wasteful stimulus package in 2009, which led to higher unemployment.
With all that misery and failure, you would think people would be happy to learn that some government employees are trying to save money. So enjoy a laugh about this cartoon.
Sadly, the cartoon isn’t accurate, even by standards of parody. The agents were trying to save their own money by ripping off the escort. If they were using taxpayer money, they probably would have paid twice the going rate.

It is very sad that the government is spending is so out of control. Sometimes you just have to laugh in order to keep from crying. I am still mad about the federal reserve buying all of the treasury notes with nothing and financing our debt since the Chinise no longer want to.
The GSA scandal was all about what happens when you freely spend other people’s money. The Secret Service scandal was all about what happens when you’re more frugal with your own money.
WOW. That is one way to look at it. I wish more of our government employees were cheapskates!
