Your math is wrong. $300 billlion in tax increases means $600 billion more spending, since there is nothing on the table to prevent the continuance of borrowing and spending as much again as is taken from America in taxes.

We don’t “let them have” anything. Everything is taken at the threat of the gun. There is no consent if there is no ability to refuse.
