The guns-cause-crime mantra of the left has never made sense, particularly when there are some heavily-armed nations where crime is very low. Israel is a good example, but Switzerland may be an even better country to highlight since it has been living in peace with its neighbors since the Napoleanic Wars. This video helps explain why:

Not only do we have hussein obama and clinton after our guns, but most of our government too. Because they have just about run this country in the ground and the the people are getting p–sed, they know if there is civil war everyone in gov. is in deep s–t. So most think they would be better off getting behind hussein. That why the bastard is still in the W.H.!
When it comes to interpreting The Second Amendment, interesting from several points are these excerpts from the May 8, 1792 U.S. Militia Act signed by President George Washington:
“I. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, That each and every free able-bodied white male citizen of the respective States, resident therein, who is or shall be of age of eighteen years, and under the age of forty-five years (except as is herein after excepted) shall severally and respectively be enrolled in the militia, by the Captain or Commanding Officer of the company, within whose bounds such citizen shall reside…”
“…That every citizen, so enrolled and notified, shall, within six months thereafter, provide himself with a good musket or firelock, a sufficient bayonet and belt, two spare flints, and a knapsack, a pouch, with a box therein, to contain not less than twenty four cartridges, suited to the bore of his musket or firelock, each cartridge to contain a proper quantity of powder and ball; or with a good rifle, knapsack, shot-pouch, and powder-horn, twenty balls suited to the bore of his rifle, and a quarter of a pound of powder…”
: This makes it clear that the Second Amendment is about having military-style weapons in the hands of ordinary citizens—not particularly about hunting or hobby weapons. So polish up your AK or M-14. Sorry Barack, you’re wrong again

This helps me remember that there ARE sane people scattered throughout the world. If people would completely ignore the likes of Pelosi and Feinstein we’d all be better off! Add Reid and Obama to the list of most reviled and there may be some survival. In the meantime me and my people are keeping our powder dry!

To take guns away from the law-abiding citizens will leave law-abiding citizens in constant danger and unprotected. Only non-law abiding citizens will have guns because criminals do not worry about legally purchasing anything including guns. Look at your previous home city, Chicago, and its very high crime rate, including murders, while law-abiding citizens are forbidden to own guns for protection! Meanwhile, you have armed protection around the clock.
